   I'm Simmy!!! I'm a Software Engineer, an enthusiastic blogger, a passionate cook, a loving wife & a big foodie from Boston(Massachusetts).My cooking journey begins after my marriage start to explore the kitchen,working on different taste and texture of food.Before marriage I knew only basic cooking but I always enjoy eating my mom's mouthwatering dishes.I have learned basic cooing from my mom.She is a great cook.After marriage I moved to the USA,in USA I've nothing much to do,so with the so much free time and a very big food lover husband I developed interest in cooking.There is an old age saying-"The Way To A Man's Heart Is Through His Stomach".

   Food is an important part of our daily life-after all we need to eat to live.So why not to cook???

Aloo-mattar chat is a very famous chatpata street food in Odisha(a northeastern state of India).Its main ingredients are dried peas(yellow/white/green) and potato.Sometimes it is served with dahi bara(dahi vada) or gup chup(panipuri).This chat is my all time favorites street food. NADIA RASA DIYA CHINGUDI TARKARI(SHRIMP CURRY WITH COCONUT MILK)

INGREDIENTS:- FOR MARINADE: Shrimps-lb Turmeric powder-2 tsp Chili powder-1 tsp Salt-2 tsp FOR CURRY: Potato-1 large(peeled & cut into cubes)-I cooked the potato cubes in microwave for 2 minutes Coconut milk- 2 cups (I used can thick coconut milk) Chopped Onions-1 large Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp Coriander powder-1 tsp Garam masala powder-1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder-2 tsp Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp Cardamom-2 Cinnamon-1" Cloves-2 Cumin seeds-1 tsp Dry red chili-2 Bay leaf-1 Sugar-1/2 tsp Salt to taste Mustard Oil-2 tbsp METHOD:- 1-Wash,clean and devein prawns.Marinate with turmeric powder,chili powder and salt and set aside. 2-In a pan heat oil,add cracked dry red chili,cinnamon,cardamom,bay leaf,clove and cumin seeds,once they start sizzling add the chopped onions. 3-Fry onions till it turns golden brown,then add ginger-garlic paste and stir till aroma is released. 4-Then add salt,turmeric powder,coriander powder,kashmir ch

Potala Rasa is very popular dish in the eastern India specially in the state of orissa.Potala or Parwal or Pointed Guard is one of the most famous vegetable in orissa.In this recipe potala is cooked with poppy seeds,cashew nuts,coconut milk and the spices.It is a typical Oriya cuisine.This recipe is one of the main menu of the "Mahaprasad" of Jagannath Temple,Puri.So let's start.....
